DEMOCRACY, FASCISM AND THE NEW WORLD ORDER
Back to Home Page

Democracy is not a universal good, it is a form of government open to corruption like any other.

Contemporary wisdom views democracy and fascism as opposites. More traditional wisdom recognises that democracy has an innate tendency to lead to extreme populist government and provides unscrupulous demagogues with the ideal opportunity to seize power.

America's rallying cry 'Democracy and Freedom', justifying violence in its own short term interests, raises once again the spectre of democracy as tyranny. Ivo Mosley uses a study of the methods and deceptions of fascism, as well as insights from political thinkers of the past, in an attempt to understand some of the corruptions at work in democracy today.
